Got Questions?
When is the retreat happening?
From August 2nd to 8th. You need to be in Pucallpa on the 1st of August or before, because we will take the boat to Contamana at 8 am on Sunday 2nd August 2026.
How can I know if this is for me?
Your soul will know if Ayahuasca has been calling you to sit with her. You can also set your intention for her to give you a signal if you are meant to come to this retreat. You can book a discovery call with Jessica if you still need clarity if joining us.
What happens if I need to leave the retreat early?
We understand that sometimes unexpected circumstances arise. If you need to leave the retreat early, we will do everything we can to support you. We recommend discussing any potential issues with our team as early as possible, and we will help make any necessary arrangements. Just to let you know there are no refunds for this.
Can I attend the retreat if I have dietary restrictions or special medical needs
We are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all guests. If you have dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.), we can accommodate these needs during your retreat. We will ensure your meals are tailored to your requirements, in line with the Ayahuasca dieta.
If you have specific medical needs or concerns, we encourage you to share them during the booking process. Our medical screening, as well as our health and safety protocols, are designed to ensure you are supported throughout your retreat. Any questions or concerns about your specific health conditions can be discussed with Jessica before your arrival.
What is the accommodation like at the retreat?
The accommodation is simple, clean, and designed for a deep retreat experience in the Amazon. You’ll stay in shared bedrooms, with shared bathrooms, a shared kitchen, and the maloca (ceremony space). There is no Wi-Fi—this is part of the “disconnect to reconnect” experience—though you can purchase a local SIM card with data (we recommend Claro).
Please note that Maestro Armando opened the healing center to the public in early 2025. Due to the heavy rains in 2024, development has moved more slowly, so this is not a luxury retreat. Your investment directly supports the local community and helps develop the healing center with care and integrity.
How do I get to the retreat centers?
You will take a flight to Lima, Peru. From Lima you flight to Pucallpa. From Pucallpa we all meet to take an 8hour boat to Contamana, from where we will take another boat to cross the river (10 minutes). On the other side of the river, we will be traveling to the Retreat Center by mototaxi (15 minutes). After the retreat has finished, you will go back to Pucallpa by plane, which is a 30 min distance. Transportation is included in the price of your retreat.
What should I bring to the retreat?
It's important to pack thoughtfully so that you're comfortable and prepared for the retreat's environment. Here are some items we recommend bringing:
- Comfortable clothing
- Practical footwear (sport and aqua shoes)
- swimwear
- Mosquito lotion
- umbrella or rain jacket
- Personal items like a journal and pen
- Toiletries and personal towel.
- Optional comfort items like a blanket or shawl
- Lintern
How should I prepare for an Ayahuasca retreat?
Proper preparation is crucial to get the most out of your Ayahuasca retreat. In the weeks leading up to your journey, we recommend following the guidelines in our Ayahuasca Preparation resource. Some key preparation steps include:
- Dietary preparation: Adopt the Ayahuasca diet (dieta) by eating light, healthy foods and avoiding substances that conflict with the medicine. This means no alcohol or drugs, no pork, minimal salt and sugar, and avoiding caffeine, spicy foods, and sexual activity for at least 1 week before the retreat.
- Medication adjustments: Certain medications (especially antidepressants/SSRIs, MAOIs, or other psychoactive drugs) can be dangerous to mix with Ayahuasca. It's critical to consult with your doctor about tapering off any contraindicated medications well in advance.
- Mental and emotional readiness: Take time to reflect on your intentions and goals for the retreat. You might keep a journal, write down questions you want answered, or engage in meditation/prayer.
-
Rest and self-care: In the days before the retreat, get plenty of rest and stay hydrated. Avoid stressful situations if possible.
By caring for your body and mind beforehand, you create a receptive state that allows Ayahuasca to work more deeply.
